Požari v Čilu vzeli vsaj 60 življenj, 200 ljudi še pogrešajo (VIDEO)

V osrednjem delu Čila divjajo obsežni gozdni požari, od sobote so jih zabeležili 143 na območju 43.000 hektarjih.  Že od petka zaradi tega v državi veljajo izredne razmere, vpoklicana je tudi vojska. Primarni cilj ekip na terenu je reševanje življenj. Požari so že terjali 64 življenj, številka pa utegne še močno narasti, saj je trenutno še vedno pogrešanih okoli 200 ljudi. Oblasti ocenjujejo, da so bili nekateri požari podtaknjeni. 

Razmere še dodatno slabšajo visoke temperature, ki se gibljejo okoli 40 stopinj Celzija. Gre za vročinski val, ki je posledica pojava El nino, in se bo v prihodnjih dneh predvidoma razširil tudi na Argentino, Paragvaj in Brazilijo.

CHILE - at least 92 forest fires have broken out simultaneously leaving 52 over 350 missing and 1000 homes destroyed .

Authorities are investigating suspicions some of the fires were stated deliberately.
